9 dpo is usually too early. Wait a few days and test at 11 or 12.

Dollar tree tests are actually very sensitive. Mine was neg at 9 days and positive at 11. Wait a few days and test again.

I read the dollar store ones require more hcg levels than a first response

I got a negative at 10 dpo but a positive at 12 dpo. Wasn’t on a dollar store test though. There is early detection ones at my dollar store that say they can test 6 days early so just depends what you bought but 9dpo is still too early to say you’re out for sure.
