Teething?

Question

How did you know when your LO was truly teething and what symptoms showed days before?
I'm asking because I feel like my child has had all the 'symptons' of teething for months now.. drooling like crazy, biting everything like crazy, anything he picks up always goes straight in his mouth to chew. I guess I just dont know if I will be able to tell when he is truly teething. Everything I read about it sounds like my LO everyday! Lol. Help!

Me too! He chews everything, and has permanent red cheeks - for months.  And still no teeth.

My baby was teething since she was 3 months old with all the signs but only last weekend she had high temperature and very red cheeks, she refused to eat food, she was very clingy and by the evening I could see a little cut on her gums. We had 4 nights of her waking up crying multiple times but now is much better and I can see her tooth coming out slowly.

My son got his first 2 teeth about a month ago and there really weren’t any symptoms. But now I think more are about to pop (I feel about 4 little sharp spots on his gums). He’s SO cranky, chews aggressively on anything, pulls his ears, crying a lot.

my baby is the exact same, everyone who sees her think she is teething and she isn’t but then she randomly popped through two teeth maybe she was a little crankier? but not much, I ended up figuring it out by running my finger along her gums and feeling it

True teething last about a week a few days before the tooth comes through and couple days after the tooth popped out. It’s hard to tell when true teething happens as most babies have teething symptoms (milestone) like drooling, hands in mouth they are just normal milestone.. when you can see the tooth coming through this is when it starts to hurt baby and true teething begins.. 😊

My daughter finally popped her first tooth! She’s been pretty cranky and chewing on everything. Like stuff she wasn’t even interested in chewing on before (plum popsicle, our fingers, even my leg and arm 😂). She even tried to chew her car seat chest clip lol. She’s been cranky if she isn’t chewing on something or sleeping, lots of drool, and her temp has been elevated but no fever. Since her tooth finally came in she’s been nicer and even smiled at strangers today! 🤣

These are all signs I noticed with my son, he popped two teeth within a couple days of each other ( which was SO "fun)... gums get really inflamed and may look a little white where the tooth(teeth) are about to break through, red flushed cheeks, and super irritable may have looser stools.
