My son will be 3 in 2 months and we have been thinking about getting him a new bed instead of his crib. There is no rush to transition him.

Started using a crib since we came home from the hospital, still use it, my son is 17months. When he finds out he can climb out if it, we will convert it to a toddler bed.

We transitioned my son from cosleeping to his crib at about 4 months old. He is 2.5 and he has never climbed out of his crib. His big boy full sized bed will arrive this month. We hope to have a successful transition in the next few weeks. That way baby number two will use the crib after he is born!
