For those who have successfully potty trained, what was your method?

Looking for tips to potty train... did you use a sticker chart? Did you just wait til he/she was ready? My son will go occasionally but still doesn’t want to even try most times. Did you have them in pull ups, diapers or underwear? How did you get them interested?

“Oh crap” book/method. Lots of mamas in this group have also found success with it. Three day intensive. Naked for a day and then underwear (option of pull ups/protection for nap and bedtime). If you google it, there are so many resources. I actually didn’t read the book, just a summary, and it still worked great.

I let my daughter be around the house with no diaper around the house.. she did poop and pee everywhere for one week.. she pee on he toilet the 2nd week.. but with the 💩.. it took her almost 3 weeks.. she would hold it for hours.. i was afraid to 💩.. but just last week she said she did not want a pull up at night.. and so far no accident ..

My daughter dictated the training and basically trained herself. She wanted to go on the potty so we encouraged her and praised her. Then we had a 1 week set back where we went back to diapers. Then she wanted to potty again. This was around a year and half old. She has been fully potty trained for quite some time now. We slowly stopped wear pull ups at home and then while we were out. She still wears them at night just to save her waking up at 6 to ask to go to the potty because she wasn’t able to fall back asleep. 
Lots of praise and encouragement. Let them be naked while at home and have the potty in the most accessible area because they can’t hold it for more than .5 seconds. And lots and lots of praise. We would clap and cheer and scream when she went on the potty for the first few days and she thought it was the best thing ever.

We’re in the middle of it now. Did intensive 4 days with him over Memorial Day wknd. We didn’t leave the house, he was commando the whole wknd, and wore diapers only during sleep. Now he wears pull ups to daycare (3 days a week) and shorts only at home (except during sleep). He’s peed at least once a day and pooped 3 times total in the potty since then, but he still has accidents.
