I voted no because I think it depends on the relationship that ended. How it ended, why, how long it was over before it was actually over. It is what it is. Life’s too short to mourn something that was never going to be. 🤷🏻‍♀️

To me; I think you should take time for yourself before getting into another relationship, especially if its been years. Get to know yourself as a person again. Give yourself time to adjust and process whatever reason caused the breakup before moving into a relationship with anyone.

Depends on the breakup and who initiated it.
My first relationship was 3.5 years long, for the last 4 months I was unhappy. I ended things and then coincidentally started seeing who would be my 2nd long term partner, 2 months later.
That relationship lasted almost 2 years, and I was unhappy for the last 3 months of it. Ended things with him, and then got with my now fiancé, 1.5 months later. 
Currently together for almost 4 years, are engaged, built a house together, have a 14 month old, and our 2nd baby is due this August 😊

I voted no because this kind of happened to me and I’m now married and expecting with the man I started dating after a two year relationship ended. (And he’s the love of my life).
When I was with my ex, mentally and emotionally I had been checked out for a while before I actually ended things. I still *thought* I loved him, when really I was used to him and had been manipulated for so long into thinking no one wanted me. I finally broke up with him the end of February and starting dating my now husband in April. 
I did not expect to fall for him. I wanted to be single for a while and just have fun. He was a good friend for years and we just clicked. I was and still am the happiest I’ve ever been and we’ve been together over 4 years now. 💙

I was dating this guy for like 2years on and off. It was a toxic relationship but I was trying to work on it until I can’t take it anymore and just lost all my feelings for him. 
About 2 weeks later, I met someone when I was on vacation, wasn’t really expecting anything as I thought it was probably just a fling and I’m glad it wasn’t. We are still together for a year and counting!
As long as you're completely over your ex and won't bring your past issues to the new one, it's all good.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with casually dating or fooling around with someone new after a breakup. But I think two weeks is too soon to decide that you want to be in a relationship with anyone - especially if you just got out of a long term relationship.

It’s not to quick to start dating to see what’s around and change your mind but to get back in a serious relationship usually is not a good idea.

With me, I wouldn’t want to hop into another relationship for multiple reasons. And something about people going from one relationship to the next rubs me the wrong way.
For one, I’d want to focus on myself. If I get out of a relationship I’d want to be single for a at least a few months to have me time.
Secondly, I don’t think I’d automatically be interested in someone else. Like yeah, I could find someone attractive but I couldn’t just hop from one person to the next. With me, I need to be friends with someone for a WHILE before I can even consider dating them so I know who they really are as a person and even if I was friends with someone for a while I’d still want to go on a few dates with them before making it official.
