My bf was cheated on and has trust issues every time I go out with my friends he wants me to text him and this is his reasoning. *added* there is a lack of trust because he is learning to trust me after I flirted with a coworker to get ahead at work and the “him” is my ex he’s worried that my ex will be where I go because he’s friends with one of my friends

It sounds like you cheated on him? Just the way he says, "lack of trust right now" and something about you being around "him". If that's the case, then you need to sit and talk with about what he needs in order to have that trust again.

Wanting reassurance and communication is okay.... wanting you to constantly text him isn’t. It’s fair to know who you are with, where you are, when to expect you... if plans change etc. but not be out with your friends but be on your phone the whole time is ridiculous.

Sorry reread your post. He can't compare you to his past gfs that is definitely bullshit. He needs to grow up and move on. If he can't get over it and trust you there's no point in being in a relationship. Relationships need to have trust to flourish and to survive. He's being overly clingy and insecure and possessive/ controlling. I'd really reconsider the relationship if he can't straighten himself out.
