Sit up?

Question

Well, I've seen many pictures of babies that can already sit up and hold their head around three months and my baby who is only three months old on the 18th of this month still can not because I'm afraid that his spine will not support his weight or Something similar. Should I already make her sit down or not?

I let mine sit but I support her body the whole time. No way a 3 month old can sit on their own. She also has a little chair that supports her while she sits

He can almost fully support his giant ass head but not sit up. He wants to tho

Sittin up without support is usually a skill that is mastered by 6 or 7 months. Our babes still have a way to go before we will see that. But practicing sitting with support will help them get there.

Do tummy time to build holding their head if you’re not already!

Don’t make her do anything, and pretty much no 3 month old is sitting up without support, they’ve always got things around them supporting them, and they end up tilting to the side.

My baby can sit up if I lean her against pillows or the couch, I got the sit me up chair and she lovessss that. She can’t sit up alone tho and I only let her do those for a little bit. Baby will sit up in time every baby goes at different paces.  If your pediatrician isn’t worried yet no reason for you to be!

There are differing views on whether it’s beneficial to make your baby sit up before they’re ready to. Which may be interesting for you to look up. I love listening to what Janet Lansberry has to say. But either way, it’s all about tummy time and getting the neck muscles ready first before core muscles. Do not worry. Three month old babies are not sitting up yet.
