Baby names

Hi all 😊

So here we are ttc for a year and a half 😕

I wasn't sure where to put this, I'm not sure where it belongs so here it is 😊

So since we're trying for a while now we've been thinking about baby names and I wanted, if it were a girl, to name her after my grandmother as she was absolutely the best and kindest person who I've had in my life..

And i told my SO that i was scared someone else would use that name.

And his SIL was pregnant at the time.. And guess what... They named their doughter with the name i wanted to use..

And now my SO wouldn't even concider using it since he can't have 2 nieces having the same name.

I was really happy for them but I also cried my heart out, is that a selfish thing to do?

I think, if i get my way we'll use it as a middle name maybe 😏 but it's not thesame 😕
