A meds question for early pregnancy

I am only 4 weeks pregnant; when I went to the doc to get a blood test (2 days ago), he prescribed the following hormone drugs:

- Progynova 2 MG

- Duphaston 10 MGM

Anyone familiar with these drugs and whether they are safe / necessary for this stage?

I have no history of miscarriage (but I did have an abortion at age 23); I’m now 34 and it’s my first baby.
