How often do you pump?

My baby is only 6 days old, when I was in the hospital the nurse told me to pump after each feeding. But now she wants to eat every 1 1/2-2hours so by the time she's done and I pump, shes almost ready to nurse again and its like a never ending cycle. Is this normal? 
Also I always get more out of my left side, like double the amount, even if she just nursed on that one. Is that also normal? I'm getting about 5-6oz per pumping session. 
I'd like to be able to start a mini stock pile so my husband can also feed her. Thanks for any advice!

My baby is 2 weeks old and I have one boob that is huge and has so much milk and then my other is a bit smaller and doesn’t produce so much. I was told to express after each feed too but my baby is cluster feeding so I would never rest 😅 I only pump now if I feel I need to and baby is sleeping not sure if this is correct ?

I exclusively pumped for 9 months( with a tiny bit of breastfeeding thrown in there). I always pumped every 3 hours. Once I had a bit of a stock pile and baby was sleeping longer stretches I stopped pumping at night. That’s what I would recommend :)

I pumped twice a day while on maternity leave. When I went back to work at 10 weeks, I pumped four times per day and fed 2-ish times per day.
