Canadian mums, does your insurance cover a breast pump?

Hey ladies! Wondering if any Canadian mums have used their insurance to help cover a breast pump. I'm with Great West Life, haven't looked into it yet but was just curious on other people's experience. Thank you! :)

Sunlife covered up to 300.00 for mine.  But required a personal receipt and prescription.  The script just said “breast pump medically necessary for breast feeding”. Still waiting on spouse’s insurance to see if there is additional coverage

GWL won’t cover mine :( as others have mentioned.

It depends! I’m with GWL for dental and everything else under sunlife and you have to have certain conditions to have it covered, like the baby has to be here so many weeks early.. Issues pumping. Etc. 
No harm in calling and asking what their protocol is!

GWL didn’t cover mine either. Not sure about others. You’d probably have to call specifically and ask about your policy

Great West Life didn’t cover mine.
But I think my fiancé’s Sunlife insurance will cover it. Still have to sent in the receipt, still may need a prescription for it 🤷‍♀️.
