Frying without eggs?

I'm allergic to eggs and I'm wondering if you can fry things without using eggs? What do you use instead?

I've been out of both eggs and milk before and just used water. I was pregnant and HAD TO have something fried. It worked lol. Just did seasoned flour, water dip, back to flour, then fry. 
My MIL showed me her "poor" way of frying and it was dipping whatever it is in cornstarch or flour first, then making a wet slurry of flour and water and seasoning and dipping in there before frying.

I used mustard when I don’t feel like using eggs sometimes, but only with chicken. My kids like honey mustard, and my fiancé likes spicy or brown mustard. It works better for baking things like chicken tenders or popcorn chicken, but you can still use it to fry with.
