Best medicine for anxiety and depression?

My doctor want to put me on Prozac... what are some symptoms? Did you like it? I know everybody bodies are different I just want to know.

I take fluxotine which is the generic version of Prozac and its done wonders for me. I don’t get any weird side effects. It just makes me feel better - and I’ve been on a few diff anti depressants too (lexapro, lamictal, Latuda, trileptal) and those did give me a bunch of different side effects (like loss of appetite, dizziness/nausea, caused me to feel weird in my skin, or they interfered with the efficacy of my bc)

Prozac or its offbrand is a good one to be on. Added bonus is its safer to take is you want to have kids and want to remain on meds. (just a little fyi)
its the only med I haven't noticed any side effects on. So I hope it works just as well for you.

I was on fluoxetine (prozac) when I first got diagnosed with anxiety and depression and it did wonders for me. I didn’t really have any side effects other than some weird vivid dreams (which could just be myself eating too much cheese) and constant leg movements (restless leg syndrome) but tbh that could have just been me because I’m now on different meds (Sertraline) and I still have restless legs, although not as bad. 
I did eventually change to Sertraline after about a year and a half of being on Prozac because I found that my body had basically built up a tolerance to it and was no longer helping me improve. On saying that, I was in a super dark place when I was diagnosed and Prozac really helped me and has taken me far on my road to recovery. 
I’ve been on Sertraline for about a year now and it’s helping me but I have gained quite a bit of weight. I am also on the contraceptive pill though and it’s exam season so who knows if it’s the meds causing the weight gain. 
Anyways, I hope whatever meds you are prescribed with do the job and just be aware that you can change meds if prozac doesn’t work for you. These things take time because you have to wait for a few months to see if there is any improvements and then adjust accordingly.
