Should I change my OBGYN? 5 weeks preg

2 years ago I started searching for OBGYN as we been TTC for while.  There are 3 major hospital with in 15 min drive from me & I was confused where to go.  I finally went with good doc rating instead of focusing on the hospital.  I liked my OBGYN who herself went thru infertility & into minimal invasive procedures.  I liked her and kept going but I was never sold on the hospital she delivers out of.  Since I was having hard time convincing I figure it’s best I keep seeing her & decide later if I want to switch. 
She eventually referenced me to fertility specialist.  The specialist found a polyps in my uterus, which my OBGYN removed at her affiliated hospital.  The thing is I got strep throat from that surgery & am even more concern about having baby in the hospital.  
I am 5 weeks pregnant now & I have to decide if I should see a new OBGYN at the nicer hospital in town or keep going to the lady who not only operated on my uterus but knows my history of infertility & miscarriage.

At the end of the day, it’ll most likely be whichever doctor is on call delivering your baby anyways. If you are uncomfortable with the hospital, I’d switch.

Honestly if you’re uncomfortable then switch however whoever is on call when you have your baby is who delivers your baby. I seen everyone in my doctors office however the doc who delivered my son I never seen he wasn’t at my office but he had privileges at the hospital and delivered babies there as well so that’s who I got.

I have great OB but haven’t heard good things about the hospital. We decided to stick with the Dr and turns out the Labor&Delivery put her hospital is actually really awesome. I’m glad I decided to stay. Are you sure you got strep from a surgery? That doesn’t sound right. Sometimes they will stick a tube down your throat during surgery and that can cause a raw/sore throat. If you truly got strep, you probably got it from someone and not so much in a sterile surgery room. But the decision is yours at the end of the day.

I don’t know if I got the step bacteria in hospital but they did knock me out & use breathing tube.  When I mentioned to my OBGYN she said “u must have gotten from hospital, hospitals are nasty”.  Then went on to tell me how she was always catching something first few years of her practice from hospital. I love how honest she is 
My friend was having the same debate during her 2nd pregnancy: good doc vs good hospital.  &  Her logic is, she rather have good experience for 9 months and deal with average experience for few hours than have bad experience for 9 months just so she can be in nicer hospital. Of course I might find another great doc associated with the better hospital but that means I have to explore
