Why do they tell you not to open test??

I opened my test after I saw a faint line cause i wanted to see the strip to verify if it had pink in it.. why do they tell you not to?

If it has a “plastic window” on it then you can’t take it apart, the air will make it dry faster, causing a line to appear and become a false positive. If it’s like the dollar store one with no cover, you can take it apart because the air is already touching it.
