Are you supposed to avoid eating after meals?

Today about 1.5 hours after I ate lunch, I wasn't feeling the best and ate an apple. About 22 gm of carbs or a snack's worth. So a half hour later my 2 hour after lunch was a little high. Are you supposed to not eat much after meals? I've been finding it hard to eat in general so I am not really worried about calories right now.
