So my mother has been an alcoholic for 6 years and she is an ANGRY drunk. The last 4 years she usually blows up about a week before my birthday and then refuses to celebrate it. I’m turning 18 and she got angry at me and doesn’t want to celebrate it anymore.

NOW this is what I need the opinions on: she got so angry at me last week while she was drinking. So I called her out and said that she drinks 7 days a week and was probably drunk right then. Anyways, my step father then told me that IM the one that needs to apologize because my mother can’t help that she’s an alcoholic and it’s not her choice.

I just really need some lady support here and want to know why she can ruin so many important things and mile stones for me but I’m the one that needs to apologize?
