Cervical position and feel confuses the heck outa me!!

Megan

Ok, so you'd think I would know 100% what the stages of my cervix would be during my cycle after, but since I hadn't had a natural period for 8 years, I could never really relate to the diagrams and suggestions when it came to tracking my cervical position and mucous. Since having my period, I'm now checking it every day, but I'm still confused as all get out! As of right now, it feels like it's high, softer and starting to open, but the cm is still tacking and whitish. So what exactly am I looking for when I am ovulating? They say a fertile cervix is SHOW (soft, high, open, wet) and feels like your lips and a non fertile is the opposite and feels like your nose... I cant for the life of me figure out the difference. Any other suggestions to help clarify this for me??
