Really really bad back pain

I’m in the Navy and after bootcamp my back was really messed up. We had to march everywhere at boot with heavy backpacks on. Mind you I have not had to do that since high school... 4 years ago. I graduated boot 4 months ago.

My back has hurt ever since. Some days worse then others but everyone warned me that if I got help for it they could kick me out for not being fit for full duty. I just moved to my new command and everyone here is so nice. I had my physical assessment and brought up my back and they want to go to physical therapy. The problem is it will take weeks until I can get an appointment in. My back hurts so badly that I have cried due to the pain. It’s my upper back as well as my middle back. I also have a curtain area that feels like a pinched nerve (best way to describe it). I have no idea what to do. I take Tylenol, I ice it. I do stretches. Nothing helps.
