I don’t think I have a maternal instinct....

Don’t get me wrong. I like kids. They’re cute, funny, and it’s very amazing to watch them learn. But they’re also annoying, loud, messy, etc and while I’d like to be an aunt, I don’t think I want to be a mom. I like doing what I want too much for it.

But some women my age talk about having baby fever and I don’t think I ever have. I see a cute baby and recognize that it’s cute, but I don’t “feel it in my ovaries” so to speak. Like I’ll babysit but I gotta be able to give the kid back after a couple hours lol.

I know there isn’t anything “wrong” with me for this, but I just haven’t talked to a lot of other girls in my peer group that aren’t like “UGH I CAN’T WAIT TO HAVE A BABY!”

No hate on women that want to be mamas. I respect that, just wanna hear some other girls that can relate to me.
