Panorama

Hi,

My Ob suggested an extra genetic test called Panorama. She said I am not high risk, so it is optional. I have private Healthfirst insurance, and my OB said even if it’s not covered the price would be around $200.

On the Healthfirst website, the charge is about $5000. I called to get a quote but I was told that they cannot give me a price estimate until I take the test and the office bills it my insurance.

I am confused because $200 and $5000 is a big difference. I don’t want to get stuck with a huge bill for an optional test. Especially since I cannot get a written price.

Did you get Panorama? And how much was it?
