Manual removal of the placenta TMI!!

XChantel

Hi everyone,

In Feb I found out my son had passed in the womb, and I had to be induced (I was 25 weeks) after he was born, I was told I had a retained placenta, they gave me medication to assist with detaching it to no avail. I had zero pain medication and the doctor tried removing it manually (it was the most physical pain I've ever had to endure) but apparently it was just breaking into little pieces so they gave me an epidural and took me to theatre to remove.

Im currently TTC again and Even though the midwives say it doesn't effect TTC in future, I read somewhere that it could cause scaring on the uterus wall which then prevents any egg attaching. I was wondering if any one else has experienced this and whether this had an effect on TTC again?
