Jumping?

Question

I have the baby sparks app, and it had said it was time for learning to jump a few months ago. Anywho, I tried maybe a dozen times and then stopped and he still can't jump. Does anyones toddler jump? Lol I feel like this is a silly non-issue. But just curious! Any tips on how to teach him?

My son isn’t jumping! He knows what it is and wants to, but hasn’t put it all together. He bounces instead!

My daughter wants to! She does in some situations, but not usually from the floor. She can sort of bodyslam on the couch and bed, and if she has something to hold onto, she can lift her feet, and shell also jump from the arm of the couch onto the couch,  but we’re not doing this Kind of jumping yet, even though I’m sure she’d love to!

I had no idea this was some ‘special’ skill lol but my daughter has been jumping for awhile maybe 3/4 months. I have no idea where she picked it up, maybe off the wiggles. 🤔

Have you heard of the song, “Run Baby Run” by Casper Babypants? My daughter is obsessed with this song (and has been for 6+ months!), but we listen to it and do what they say and it has really helped her get a lot of different movements downs. It’s fun and she get super excited when she hears it.

My little man has been jumping for a couple months, but I’ve heard it’s usually not a skill they get until closer to two! I didn’t try to teach him specifically, but we’re in a kids music class and we jump a lot in there!

Vi finally got both feet off the floor at the same time last night while she was jumping around. But that was the first time I’ve seen her successfully do it, usually she alternates bouncing on one foot while the other is off the floor lol.

My son now jumps over everything. He’ll lay a toy on the car and jump over it.
