My 37 week appointment my doctor said my cervix has thinned out and they are just waiting for me to dilate?? what does this mean ladies ?

It means your body is preparing for labour. Cervix needs to thin and drop before dilation happens. You’re working on the first step towards that

Yes mama you are getting close, the thinner it gets the easier it becomes for you to dilate and have your water break. That's a good sign that you're close to labor. Could be days, maybe weeks but youre getting really close!
