Pregnancy induced carpal tunnel pain!?

So I’m almost 21 weeks now and around 18 weeks I started getting symptoms of carpal tunnel. I started wearing a splint which helped for a few days but it hasn’t seemed to work much lately. The pain is literally keeping me up all night. Does anyone have any suggestions to help easy the pain or has anyone received a cortizone shot to help? I need some kind of relief.

Honestly (and unfortunately) there’s not much you can do from my experience. Your body creates upwards of 50% more blood and bodily fluids when pregnant to support baby. I’m told it’s that extra fluid that is “strangling” the nerve that causes the carpal tunnel. Believe me, I’m just as sad and uncomfortable about it as you (36 weeks tomorrow and I haven’t been able to get relief in months). 
Keep wearing the brace (don’t bend at the wrist and try to keep your fingers from making a fist), do daily stretches (YouTube), try to not lay on one side for too long (pinching the nerve more), minimize salt intake, drink lots of water and cold therapy all all the options I’ve tried.
