Does it ever go away?

Question

I'm 19w4d with my second pregnancy. The first one ended in a mc. We never even got to see the heartbeat, just a little sac.
This morning I woke and our baby bean is jumping all over the place in my tummy and for some reason my mind immediately went to my first pregnancy and now I can't stop crying. I feel so blessed to have been given the chance to carry this baby without complication but to think I'd be about 7 weeks from my due date with my first right now... it sticks with you forever, doesn't it?

It kinda does, but it gets easier too. I had two mc before this and every milestone we passed has helped me ease my grip a bit. And now that i can feel and see her move around in there i get constant reassurance throughout the day. The anatomy scan and genetic screenings helped ease our minds too. I still have irrational thoughts and the occasional bad dream, but from what i hear from all my parent friends - it’s always like this. Maybe even worse once they’re on the outside because we can’t protect them the same way we can now. 
Take some deep breaths, meditation can be really helpful to help relax and see what we can and can’t control in life. You’ll get that healthy baby in your arms in a few months. It’ll all work out. And then you’ll spend the next few years chasing him/her around haha 💕

I had a miscarriage right before getting pregnant with my now 3yo. The due dates were exactly a month apart. It was hard for a while. Especially because I kept getting emails about how far along the first would be and they wouldn’t stop even after I unsubscribed. I got passed it by thinking that the first time was her too, she just wasn’t quite ready yet.

Miscarriages are very common, I had one right before this pregnacy. But I was able to let it go, I just held onto the knowledge that I could still get pregnant and that there will be another chance soon, and so I was pregnant again within a month. Sometimes things don't work out, creating life is a very complicated process and it's possible that the process doesn't work the way it's supposed to. It's a painful bit also a beautiful thing that our body knows how to handle it when something goes wrong. My baby never completed the full process and I've cried, a lot. But then I let it go, knowing by body knew what it did and that pregnacy never had a chance. I am now in my 30th week of this new pregnacy and I am not sad anymore. I hope you'll get to that point eventually and you will be able to hold your sweet healthy baby in your arms.

I have had many miscarriages and they have all stuck with me. I am finally 29 weeks with my 3rd baby and cannot believe I have made it this far.
