Bottle/pacifier Sanitize?

I am currently 37 weeks and trying to tie up loose ends before baby girl gets here. 
Is it too early to sanitize bottles and pacifiers? Can I put them in the dishwasher?

Sterilization only last about 24 hours. It’s kind of unnecessary and is outdated practice unless you have a preemie baby or a baby with a compromised immune system. I always sterilized things initially and only sterilize pacifiers every now and then because they can harbor some nasty bacteria. Also, heating plastics can leech chemicals. The AAP recommends you do not put baby bottles, nipples, sippy cups, etc. in the microwave or dishwasher because of this. I have and use glass bottles with all my babies.

I did the first sanitation at 33 weeks.

Initially I boiled all mine in water for 5 minutes, let cool and air dry then put in a big plastic pin with a lid to keep dust and such out. After that I’ll hand wash and dry on a dish rack, or use the sanitize option on my dishwasher.
