Looking for a good baby monitor?!?!

So frustrated right now! I just wasted a a day at babies r us searching for a decent baby monitor. We originally wanted the Nanit which was on sale but out of stock, then settled on another monitor with solid reviews...also out of stock (frustrating because the store had thier shelves stocked with empty boxes of both monitors 🙄) so we read some reviews and settled on the safety 1st hd baby monitor. We get it home and the video quality legs and the app has zero features, it simply lets you view the screen it does have alerts for movement and sound but the monitor was 230 dollars so I expect some more bells and whistles. Does anyone have a smart baby monitor they love?? I was hoping to buy from babies r us because we have a gift card. Also the nanit is not an option for us anymore as it is 400 dollars on Amazon.
