Spotting on Clomid?!

Hey all! I am on my second round of 100 mg of clomid days 3-7. I had my normal period that ended cd 5 and now today, cd8, I am spotting. Is spotting a side effect of clomid? It didn’t happen last month so I’m feeling discouraged. Last month I ovulated cd 16 so it is probably too early to be ovulation.

Any insight or similar situations are appreciated!!
