Constipated baby?

Anyone else’s baby constipated since starting solids? Any tips? He’s so sad and I want to help him! Prunes doesn’t seem to be helping.

Veggies!! I have baby food mixes with stuff like kale, spinach, broccoli etc. Helps them with bowel movement so much. My son literally goes 💩 within minutes now of eating greens. So if I notice he hasn’t pooped yet and it’s nearing the end of the day, I give him a packet with green veggies. Definitely try it for your LO!

Are you doing puréed prunes or juice? Not sure it will help if regular prunes aren’t but we did 2oz of prune juice and he had a dirty diaper by the next day. Pediatric nurse said to give prunes or prune juice daily to keep him regular.

My guy was been dealing with constipation since birth. We were told to give an ounce of prune, white grape or pear juice. We did prune for awhile but made him gassy. The white grape worked for us. Also we were just told at our 6 month appt that we can give an oz or 2 of water.

My baby’s struggled with constipation since even before starting solids (apparently exclusively breastfed babies CAN become constipated). I feed her lots of prunes and pears, and have had a lot of success lately with adding some ground flaxseed to her morning oatmeal. We also have to avoid carrots, and I don’t even want to try bananas. 
It’s no fun seeing our babies so uncomfortable. Good luck!
