Pornography

I just recently stopped watching porn.

I was never really addicted to it, but i do know that I was watching too much of it.

I didn’t stop watching it because I felt ashamed or dirty.

I stopped because of an article about how directors in the porn industry are constantly having to come up with more violent ways of filming to keep with demand

They are struggling to do so because they have reached the very borderline of the law, and yet still keep pushing.

Women in porn have been treated so horribly that for their anus to literally fall out of their body, and have to be sewn back in by a doctor, is not an uncommon occurrence.

And that’s WITH the laws we have in place. Imagine what will happen if those laws are allowed more leverage. Will the porn industry just barely stop short of killing these women for material?

Since I’ve stopped watching porn I’ve already noticed something, my sexual pleasure has increased. I no longer require such grotesque, overwhelming material to feel that excitement building.

Also two other summarized points:

*Porn has been directly linked multiple times with multiple different assessment/experiments, to the rising violence against women.

*Most of the porn you watch features trafficked women. Yes. You may not believe it, or not think that a single video you’ve watched has actually caused someone harm, but undoubtedly you have likely watched videos which ‘star’ a sex slave.

I have no idea what else to say. I don’t think porn is okay.
