Tips for cluster feeding?

Anyone have good tips to combat cluster feeding? My 1 week old was in the boob for about 4 hours straight last night: she’d feed for 5-10 minutes, fall asleep, and as soon as I’d burp her or lay her down she’d start sucking on her hands and crying. To make matters worse she’d constantly get the hiccups which I think kept her awake even longer. I think I might try using the pacifier a little more tonight but I’m not sure how else to deal with this.

Cluster feeding is perfectly normal. It happens during the first week & you need to feed on demand. Your baby needs to eat to be able to grow. If she's hungry, don't her the pacifier. 
When my son was 4 Days old , he started cluster feeding, i wasn't even able to sleep. Sometimes he'd be on the boob all night. When he turned 5 weeks , it happend again. He used to be awake all day, on the boob. If i tried to lay him down , he'd cry. He'd fall asleep for no more than 10 mins. It went on like that for a whole week. 
You need to suck it up, feed your baby & avoid the pacifers while cluster feeding. You need your body to make enough supply for your daughter.

You shouldn't "combat" it. It's normal & helps get your supply where it needs to be. Just roll with it, I know it's hard but it's very temporary.

You can definitely try a pacifier since EBF babies tend to use you as one. You really can’t combat cluster feeding. It’s normal and it’s how they establish your supply. Stick with it... it gets so much better and easier with time, patience and practice. Good luck!

It's normal for newborns to eat this way. Let her eat for 5 or 10 minutes then burp her and continue. We used a binky as well from birth to 9 months which can help soothe in between cluster feedings.

My daughter is a week old today and its same thing. It made us crazy with my now 2 year old son (was he getting enough?) Now we know and just roll with it.  It SUCKS and it's hard but it tells your body to produce correctly (try adding sores on both sides..I have that, too) but you gotta try to push through.  You got this!!
