I’m getting married and one of my best friends is a Gay man!

I love him dearly !

I’ve asked him to be a bridesmaid and he’s OF COURSE accepted !, BUT...

he thoroughly enjoys cross dressing (he is NOT transgendered. We have gone through this over and over) well, he wants to wear a dress same as the rest of my bridesmaids. Normally, I would be all for it ! But not all of my family is accepting and I’m nervous all of their attention will be on the male in a dress opposed to my husband and I.

AITA for asking him if he can wear a suit instead of a dress?

Im honestly distraught over this because I want to make everyone happy and don’t want to hurt anybody’s feelings.
