Baby monitor recommendations please?

You truly only need an audio monitor. Just to hear baby in the night to feed/change. However (we had just an audio one with our son for the first year of his life) I personally do prefer a video one. The audio did us just fine but purchased a used video monitor and I’ve loved it since. I like being able to see my son. And I think I’m really going to like being able to see my newborn once this baby arrives. That being said I don’t suggest any video monitors that connect to WiFi. They can be hacked and the last thing I’d want is some random stranger watching my child or interacting with my child. Are the odds of it being hacked slim? Yeah. However that’s not a chance I’m willing to take personally. Also I’d suggest a nice big screen. Ours is a 5” and it’s so great! We did get one on Black Friday (we needed a second camera as we knew we were trying for another baby soon and would eventually need it and it was good priced) but after one night I returned it. The screen was so damn small and the monitors screen couldn’t be shut off nor could it be muted. So once I returned that I just purchased another camera to connect to our monitor.
