I’m so confused..

So I am due for my cycle on Wednesday. I wanted to surprise my husband on Fathers Day with a positive test. I got a super faint line but started cramping in the evening. I woke up this morning and they were worse. Then it started with light pink and eventually trying into bright red bleeding. I took a test to see if the line was gone or got lighter and it surprised me by being darker! What the heck? Has this happened to anyone?
