It’s Official!

Just got home from my NST appointment and we’ve got an induction date of Wednesday at 7:30am!

I was having contractions like crazy while hooked up to the monitor, but some I didn’t feel, others were more intense, and they were still irregular. Due to how many contractions I’ve been having (since 34 weeks) it sounds like my only option for induction is pitocin because they don’t want to increase my contractions.

I’m 10% more thin, so I’m 80% effaced right now. Cervix is still closed. But baby’s head has moved down further to 0 station.

There’s still hope that I will naturally go into labor before Wednesday but I at least hope to dilate some before then to make induction easier. My OB also said it’ll be really difficult for me to tell when to go into the hospital as I have so many contractions and don’t always feel them.

I’ll be exactly 39 weeks. Reason for induction is to deliver a healthy baby and one that is not too big for me.

Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated! I’m nervous about induction, so please no scary stories!! Thank you 💕
