What are you feeding your LO

Question

I’m like stuck on what to feed him outside of those baby pouches. That are delicious and come in a variety:
He sometimes eats what we eat, but I’ve noticed he’s been constipated a lot more lately. So trying to figure out good baby food to feed a 10 month old.
HELP! And TIA!

We do bananas, peanut butter toast, and also shell pasta mixed with her veggie-meat jar food. Obviously we keep a close eye, but she’s already getting better with it. It’s messy, but she loves it!

We do alot of different stuff..
1. boiled apples... they're great and super soft ( a little annoying to peel and dice but def worht it) I started that bc my son loved the rice puffs but they constipated him soooo bad to the point i cant give him any of that rice stuff. This was the first solid he had
2. Boiled squash (peeled and diced)... acorn works grat bc the size
3. Scrambles eggs
4. Lightly toasted Eggos
5. Avocado is a fav
 (but so expensive rn 😥)
6. Chicken soup...from the can/ or fresh can is just super convenient. The "cambles well yes!" Brand chicken noodle is great... barely have to break it up and its high in protien with very soft white beans in it
7. Canned sliced beets... so easy to prepare soft enough right out of the can, baby loves them! Only down side is they stain
8. Rotissery chicken... broken into small pieces.
9. Zuccini.. sauted until pretty mushy, one of my sons faves
10. Salmon.. i make his with a squeeze of lemon in foil in the oven super quick and easy
11. Turkey breakfast sausage... broken up into small pieces. The texture is great, no big chunks or anything like that
12. Pinapple..
13. Canned peaches..
14. Black beans cooked down really well
My general rule is if i can mash it using my tongue and  roof of my mouth it's safe for my baby. But every baby is different and it's important to use your own judgment. But just like anything else, self feeding takes practice and of course the whole reason of this post is you feel bad feeding the same foods over and over!

I do both. Some sort of purée or pouch and then some solids she can feed herself. Honestly it's whatever I have on hand. I've done olives, pineapple, I made some mini baby muffins she likes a lot, mac n cheese, leftover fish, I generally don't make a specific meal for her I just find stuff in the fridge or pantry. Cut up fruit, does your babe drink water? I've found without she has constipation issues. And I do prunes a couple times a week to keep her going . Anything high in fiber though will help as well. Lessen starchy foods like potato's and oatmeal. We do those every couple days

Were kind of all over the place and a lot depends on what we’re eating. She’s at a sitter M-F for breakfast and lunch so only has dinner with us. 
She isn’t much of a breakfast eater. It’s only natural as neither of us are either. We send either a yogurt or baby oatmeal (dry) with either a 4oz fruit blend purée or motts applesauce to mix it with. On wknds sometimes she will eat bites of scrambled eggs and toast, but isn’t a fan. Lunch is either a 4oz savory purée or whatever we’ve had as a leftover she liked or whatever the sitter has on the menu. It varies with things like macaroni and cheese, grilled cheese, corn dogs, pastas and veggies, fruits, etc...  Dinners are the same as lunch. If we’re having something overly seasoned or spicy she gets a purée or other leftovers. She’s had brats, manicotti, lasagna, risotto and more. Some of the things I’ll toss all together and pulse on the food processor to mush up a bit if I’m worried it’s too tough. We’re lucky she will try just about anything but is finicky about when she will eat it. There are days she’s eating a ton but most days we question if it’s enough. The lovely moms here have done a great job of assuring me it’s fine though :). We also found with our LO that the baby led standards of finger size pieces/large pieces does not work for her. If it’s too big she turns up her nose. She wants itty bitty chopped up pieces. 🤷‍♀️
