Induced Labour?

Just a general question (FTM mum here!) — I’ve seen a lot of American mama’s getting induced before they’re full term, some with and some without underlying health issues. I’ve been wondering under what circumstances do they induce natural birth and c-sections over here in the UK?🤔 (Besides HBP, Preeclampsia)

I was induced at 39 weeks due to baby measuring big and I’m only little. However it was a filed induction and I went into labour naturally at 40+3. 
I don’t think you’re induced unless there is a certain reason for it or you’ve hit 41/42 weeks

It depends if there’s a health condition. I don’t think they do it if you ask them unless there’s a specific reason. It’s private healthcare in the states so you can pay for whatever you want

I had Intrahepatic Cholestasis and was induced at 37 weeks.

I was induced for reduced fetal movements and also if the baby isn't growing enough or too big then you will be induced at 37 weeks.
