When will the bleeding stop? 😣

I miscarried on May 4th. It's June 18 today. I was so sure this morning that I was finally done bleeding, then lo and behold, went to the bathroom and was proven wrong. Does anyone else have experience with prolonged bleeding after a miscarriage? My doctor said it's normal to bleed up to 6 weeks, which I'm technically over at this point. I just saw her last week and she checked me out and everything looks fine. Am I just being impatient?😔

Hi Kathryn, I am so sorry for your loss. I had a miscarriage in early April and I bled for 6 weeks and it was so frustrating. Then after a break of a week of just light spotting i bled for 2 more weeks heavily which my doctor said was likely my period and apparently it isn't uncommon to have a heavier or longer period post miscarriage. I hope you are doing ok. I know it is a really tough time. My doctor told me I could start trying again as soon as I was ready. Xx
