Successful Stretch and Sweep?

Question

So today my doctor informed me that he will be gone June 28-July 5. I’m due June 29th. I’m panicking. He said at my next appointment Monday he will give me a stretch and sweep in hopes that he will still be here to deliver her for me. I’ll be 39+2. I haven’t been checked for dilation since 36 weeks and I was 1 cm & 85% effaced. So question is... any FTM have a successful first stretch and sweep?

Mine worked with my last I went into labor that night

I didnt get a sweep until AFTER I'd been induced and wasn't dilating despite being on pitocin for 14 hours prior. As soon as I got the sweep I immediately started to dilate and had my baby 10 hours later.

I got one at my last appointment at 37 weeks and I’m still sitting here pregnant. It put me into false labor for three days and then everything stopped completely.

It worked for me, but I was 40+1 and 3cm.
