will they give me a pap smear?

i’m 16 and tomorrow is my first appt to an OB/GYN. i’m so nervous. what will they do? its technically a birth control appointment and i’m so so scared. like, panic attacks galore

When I got my pills for the first time, it was just like a normal doctors appointment. Most doctors don’t give Pap smears until you turn 21. You don’t need to be nervous. It’ll just be like getting a check up basically and then they will figure out which birth control will work best for you and prescribe it.

If it’s a birth control appointment, they probably won’t... that’s usually done during a well woman visit. But they may just to kill two birds with one stone
