Bottle feeding for night time feed

Jessica

So since my daughter was about 3 weeks old (she’s now 4.5 months) we’ve been bottle feeding her pumped breast milk as her bedtime feed, as someone suggested getting her used to a bottle early on in case we ever needed to use bottles more often so then she would be used to it.

So I bottle feed her every night before bed and then I pump for the next nights feed. But for the past week or two I’m struggling to pump enough to keep up with what she wants to eat. I have some freezer milk that I can top up low pump yields with, but that will only last so long.

Is there a reason I’m not getting as much/enough milk each night now? Should I just abandon pumping altogether at this point and just breastfeed for bed? Or should I maybe be pumping at a different time of day to help get more milk?
