4 day old hasn’t pooped all day?

Question

Tons of wet diapers but she hasn’t pooped. She farts a lot but doesn’t seem to be in pain and when we burp her she’ll either give a nice one or spit up a bit. Anyone else experience this?

Babies are not supposed to poop ever day, if they do fine but if they don’t then there’s really nothing to worry about as long as they have enough wet diapers. Breastfeed babies can go several days without pooping actually

Normal. Some babies poop after every feed, some can go a week without a bowel movement. The pediatrician told us this is normal. If he seems in pain or when he does poop it’s hard like he’s constipated call your ped.

Our baby did that too at 3 days old. He went 24 plus a few hours until he finally pooped again! Now he poops 1-2 times a day again
