How long did you wait before introducing bottled breast milk?

The doctors I talk to consistently talk about nipple confusion and I already have some trouble getting the baby to latch correctly. I'm worried about introducing a bottle too early and him never taking the breast any longer.

It’s more a problem in terms of nipple preference, as a bottle requires less work. We started around 7weeks.

I have been giving my baby a bottle once a day since the first week. I have friends that are occupational therapists that suggested it and they say it helps them develop their sick, swallow, breathe reflex to do one bottle a day. And also it allows my husband to feed her when he gets home from work. There has been no nipple confusion or any problems!

My baby just wouldn't latch so started exclusively pumping around 2 weeks and when she was 3 months old she managed to latch and still breastfeeding at 6 months. Keep trying and once she latches then introduce bottle.

Introduced bottle at 5 weeks. Baby is now almost 7 months old and will take bottle when needed but mainly nurses from the breast.

My baby had a hard time latching, my nipples are weird- so I got a nipple shield and she matched great now. But it was a rough first half week of her life as she wasn’t getting anything from me until we figured out I needed a shield. So, she had a bottle in the beginning. And no confusion what so ever. She gets one every so often but not much because I would rather breast feed.
