I’ve had my copper Mona Lisa iud for six months now, and not only are my periods ridiculously heavy, long, and painful (at least 12 days long and bleeding through a super pad in an hour) but now I’m finding dark brown blood in my underwear?

It’s not like it was fresh blood and then turned brown when it dried, it comes out dark brown, almost black. My period isn’t due for at least another week, and it’s gotten to the point where I have to wear a pad.

Is this normal?? Should I be concerned?
