Found out I have PID at 35!

Mi

So my husband and I got married in 2017 and decided we would have a year together before we tried for a baby. We are both 35.

I have regular 27 day cycles, period always lasts 6 days, only on my first day do I experience period pain for about 5 hours. I check my temperature daily and every cycle looks the same practically on the chart. I do my ovulation checks in my fertile period and I ovulate normally on day 12 of my cycle. No symptoms that implied that anything was wrong. Never been pregnant and never had a pregnancy scare in my life.

We had been trying for 8 cycles when we went to our gynaecologist to find out if he could figure out what was wrong.

He sent us of for various tests. Sperm tests for him. Blood tests to check if I had Endometriosis and a HSG exam to check if I had PID (Pelvic Inflammatory Disease).

On Monday I went for my tests. Let’s just say that the X-rays was quite an uncomfortable experience. I had a tube put into my cervix with a liquid that would “paint” my uterus and show up on the xrays. Took more than 20 mins trying to get into my cervix! 🤭 (it was quite closed 🤣 and she said even their smallest cánula wasn’t going through!)....Anyway, the liquid they put in would show us if my tubes were blocked because it wouldn’t pass through. There was a chance the exercise could unblock the Fallopian tubes which was a positive. Well the liquid seemed to do the trick and it did unblock one or my tubes but not the left one.

Anyway, yesterday we then went to the gynaecologist again to show him the results and turns out my husbands swimmers are all good although on the lower end of the scale due to age. I don’t have endometriosis but I did have blocked tubes (PID). Sometime in my past I must have suffered from an infection that has affected both my tubes. But the tests they did on me may have unblocked one of my tubes so we now have to TTC for the next 4 months to see if the unlocked tube allows for a egg to pass and we get pregnant.

If that doesn’t work, then I will need to undergo a keyhole larascopia which will cost me $55,000 MXN as infertility is not covered by my medical insurance here in Mexico!! So annoying.

All I hear is either wait wait wait or spend more money! 🤨

I just pray that over these next 4 months God blesses us, we are baby dancing every other night 🕺🏽 and successful in our quest! 🥰🤣🤣

Here’s to the next 4 months girls!!! Baby dust

UPDATE: 9th July

So after a month of trying since the HDG exam, my period arrived. No baby this time. Let’s wait and see how month 2 goes.
