Can you believe in fate and destiny?

I wrote a paper in 10th grade and the topic was “Do you believe in fate or destiny” but we had to pick one!!!! It was so hard and plus was young well I ended up picking fate because I personally believe u can’t control fate because it’s already set in stone!!!!
What do y’all believe in fate or destiny?

Destiny. I’d like to think that I’m in more control of what will happen in my life. That the choices i make will lead to how my life would turn out eventually. The thought of everything already being planned about me scares me. Either way, the outcome is the same.

I’d say both, or neither.  All things happen in conditions.

I do. The way I see it, fate is what happens assuming status quo as well as the black swan moments (an event that basically comes out of nowhere). Whereas, destiny is what you can influence. You can say have the gift of a beautiful singing voice. If you do nothing your fate could be pretty ordinary, while if you train it and put yourself out there you can be destined for a huge career.
