Are secondhand wood teethers safe?

Does anyone have any information on this? I know that wood is better than plastic but I cannot find any information on the safety of secondhand wood toys

Second hand? I wouldn’t. The teeth could make marks/indents in the wood where bacteria could fester

I wouldn’t trust it. Bacteria can seep into the wood. Also, please DONT put in a bleach bath like suggested below! Wood can absorb liquid, unlike plastic, and can end up in your baby’s mouth. Personally, I wouldn’t touch anything that would go into my child’s mouth with bleach. Teethers are cheap. This is a good item to buy new.

It’s wood so it can be dunked in a bleach bath and left for 10-15 minutes.
