When does the hospital call?

Hi ladies! I’m sorry I post so much. Just quick question. For those ladies that asked to get induced or got induced after their due date how does it work exactly? My doctor said he put in paperwork for the hospital to call me when they have an opening. But never really gave me an idea on when they would call. Do you guys know if you typically wait a day, two days, 5 days until the hospital to call to come in? I’m 41 weeks tomorrow so the doctor said I would be more so at the top of the waiting list. Just trying to get some idea. Thank you so much.

My doctor said the same. She put in the paperwork Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning I saw online that I was scheduled to be induced that evening. No one ever called me. Just the health app that my ob and hospital go with emailed me.

I called the hospital to find out my date, my doctor's office called me to reschedule and I got that call back within a day.

It’s been a week and I’m still waiting for a call. I go in Monday for an ultrasound and I’ll be asking about a date again.

With my experience, we agreed I’d be induced at 39 weeks (the day of my 37 week appointment). He filed the official paperwork that day for that date, so I already had the date ahead of time. They said they’d only call if they had to bump me from the schedule if the beds were full.

I asked to be induded asap at my 38 week appointment. She said we offer it only on or after 40 weeks. Then I said okay can yall schedule me then. Then their planner came in the room & gave me info & had me sign a paper. Called me back the next day & told me the day (I had to give them 2 days that worked) & time to come in. My reasoning was that my closest support person would be minimally 45 minutes away which is stressful & then we'd have to go another hour to the hospital. I also have my mom coming who is farther & am showing no progress with the recommend methods to speed up labor.
