Someone pls give me advice

So there’s this guy let’s call him Asher

Anyways Asher and I kinda disliked each other at the start of the year but then about two months later I sat with him on the bus

And we became friends (ppl don’t really like him bc they think he’s a try hard) anyways I started liking him 2 months later bc he was just so fun to be around I could literally have the worst day ever and he completely changed it to a great day... whenever I’m with him he makes me smile

The thing is ppl thought we were dating bc the way he acted he would like play jokes on me and we would have inside jokes together but he’s also really really sweet anyways one time I meet his mother at an event and she says are you (name) and I was like yes and I obvi knew this was his mum and then she proceeds to tell me that Asher talks a lot about me and I’m “practically famous in their house” so I asked some ppl and they said this means he likes u but I’m not sure so then one day one of his friends asked if we were dating when I asked if we were dating when I was right there and he just laughed and we both said nooo and another time someone dared me to text him if I like someone what should I do and then he said tell them as long as it’s not me ... there’s so much about this guy I could write a series of books but I really need help bc it’s been a couple months now and I can’t get my mind off of him at all
